Today, a meeting of the inter-agency commission coordinating efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus diseases (COVID-19) was held in the Aragatsotn provincial administration. Participants included leaders from the Armenian police, the National Security Service, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the State Revenue Committee of Aragatsotn, as well as heads of regional healthcare structures under the Ministry of Health, directors of medical centers subordinated to the provincial administration, and sectoral officials of the provincial administration.
During the meeting, the following decisions were made:
- To ensure close cooperation among members of the inter-agency commission and law enforcement agencies to prevent unnecessary panic among the public due to false information and rumors about the virus.
- To carry out intensive work to identify potential carriers of the virus. Upon receiving information about individuals arriving in Armenia or those who may arrive, they should be subjected to mandatory medical examinations.
- When providing medical assistance, strictly exclude amateur and discretionary approaches, and adopt a professional approach.

Medical facilities in the province are equipped with single-use protective garments and other necessary medical supplies to ensure proper isolation of medical personnel. Pharmacies and shops in the region are generally stocked with alcohol-based sanitizers and antiseptics, although any shortages may be temporary.
Transportation routes serving the region are to be disinfected, and strict supervision will be carried out regarding the execution of this instruction. Individuals working near drinking water reservoirs are to be regularly subjected to medical examinations. Upon detection of any symptoms of the disease, they should be isolated and excluded from any work involving individuals showing signs of illness.
Efforts are being made systematically, maintaining regular communication with community leaders, heads of medical facilities, epidemiologists, and staff of the agencies included in the inter-agency commission. Emergency response plans related to incidents of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in Aragatsotn have been developed and are being implemented according to these plans.
