It is Known Where Armenian Citizens Arrived from Italy Have Been Quarantined

The spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan, stated on her Facebook page that Armenian citizens who arrived from Italy on a special flight have been quarantined in the territory of the Monte Melqonyan Military Aviation Institute located in Dilijan, which has separate facilities.

"According to Article 8 of the Law on Ensuring Sanitary and Epidemiological Safety of the Population of Armenia, which defines the powers of state and local self-government bodies in the field of ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological safety of the population, the Ministry of Defense is authorized by the government to coordinate and utilize all its infrastructure and resources for organizing sanitary-hygienic and epidemiological measures and ensuring the sanitary-epidemiological safety of the population, primarily military personnel. Based on necessity, the Ministry of Defense will mobilize all its potential and infrastructure in cooperation with state agencies to prevent and combat the coronavirus," she noted.

At the same time, she confirmed that this decision will not affect the organization of the training process. The territory of the institute will be disinfected following preventative measures.
