In Echmiadzin, 129 Citizens Report Fever; Prime Minister Shares Details
I have decided that our first diagnosed patient should definitely be awarded with a commendation, as they, with their high awareness, provided a very serious service and helped prevent the spread of the virus significantly. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a live broadcast on Facebook after a meeting held at the government.
Addressing the situation in Echmiadzin, Pashinyan said that 129 citizens have reported fever, and we have asked them to return home and self-isolate, thanking them for their cooperation. He emphasized that the fact that they have a fever does not necessarily mean anything.
“At this moment, more than 300 citizens are isolated, and discussions are ongoing regarding isolating another 300 citizens; for now, a policy of isolation is being implemented,” he noted. Currently, 19 out of 30 confirmed coronavirus cases are related to the Echmiadzin incident, and 3 out of 10 individuals are from ‘Golden Palace’, meaning they are the wife of the first patient and the two isolated individuals, while 3 out of the remaining 7 are from a production facility.
