Collision Involves Unknown Vehicle and Lada Niva: 1 Dead, 3 Injured
On March 15, a tragic car accident occurred in the Kotayk province. Around 21:40, on the 49th kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, an unknown make and model vehicle collided with a Lada 2121 vehicle driven by 33-year-old Sasun Mirumyan from the city of Hrazdan.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the collision, the Niva veered off the roadway and struck stones, dirt, and sand piles, before crashing into a food stall belonging to “Vanik Karapetyan” LLC, which was not in operation at the time, and coming to rest among trees. Due to the accident, the passengers of the vehicle, residents of Hrazdan, 54-year-old M. N. and 57-year-old A. D. were transported to the Hrazdan medical center with injuries, while another resident from the same village, 55-year-old Hovik Danielyan, died at the scene.
Following the collision, the driver of the unknown vehicle fled the scene, leaving the injured behind. Medical personnel from the Hrazdan hospital arrived promptly, providing first aid on-site before transferring the injured to the hospital.
