This is not related to "Haypost": An alert about user data being collected through an app

A citizen recently alerted Auroranews, stating that days ago, his wife received a message on her mobile phone from Haypost CP, offering subscribers a chance to win smartphones through a lottery. The app required the citizen to open a presented closed yellow box, promising a smartphone as a reward. However, the process required the user's email password and a payment of $1.

“When my wife told me, I realized it was a scam. What lottery is organized this way?” the citizen stated in a conversation with us.

To understand what lottery this was referring to, we contacted Haypost CP's public relations officer Gevorg Abrahamyan, who stated that Haypost CP has never conducted such lotteries. “This is not related to Haypost; it is a fraud. We have informed citizens and law enforcement agencies, and I do not know what the process of the case is,” Abrahamyan said.

Below we present the statement released by Haypost CP a few days ago regarding the incident: “Dear customers, numerous citizens have approached Haypost CP, stating that they have received a message from Haypost CP about winning a mobile phone. We inform you that Haypost CP is not conducting such a campaign, and unknown individuals are attempting to extort money from citizens while using the trademark of Haypost CP. We urge everyone not to provide any personal information. We remind you that all announcements about Haypost events are communicated exclusively through our official pages. Thank you.”
