Citizens Isolated at 'Golden Palace' Write Message

The Mayor of Echmiadzine, Diana Gasparyan, has announced on her Facebook page that she received a letter from citizens of her city who are isolated at the 'Golden Palace' hotel in Tsaghkadzor. They requested that their message be shared on their behalf. The letter reads:

“Dear compatriots… Until recently, we lived a normal daily life, dealing with our everyday troubles and work, attending educational institutions, having fun, and suddenly… in just a moment, everything turns upside down… We are forced to make a lightning decision, to leave everything behind in an instant, and to isolate ourselves… And thus begins a completely new story and chapter in our lives… We have been isolated at the 'Golden Palace' for several days now… No matter how hard we try, we cannot find the right and appropriate words that would truly express what we feel here.

For the first time in our years of existence, we feel what state support, care, and assistance truly means…. Everything from everyday needs to food is organized at the highest level, and as soon as any issue arises, immediate solutions are found… Seeing all this, we can only say: Thank you to the medical staff… Thank you to the service staff… Thank you to the police… Thank you to the government, led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan… Thank you to our state for supporting, caring, and relying on us… We are confident that we will not only overcome this crisis but will also emerge with dignity and victorious…”
