Teachers Will Be Fully Compensated During School Closures
All staff members of educational institutions (kindergartens, preschools, schools, colleges, vocational schools, and universities) will be compensated for their vacation days. This information was provided by the Information Verification Center.
“Today, it was announced that the educational process in institutions will be suspended until March 23. Following the announcement, media outlets reported that this decision has put teachers in a difficult position. It was mentioned that ‘the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports is discussing the possibility of cutting teachers' salaries for the days off since, in essence, teachers will not be working.’
In response to these claims, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports stated that all staff members of educational institutions (kindergartens, preschools, schools, colleges, vocational schools, and universities) will be compensated for their vacation days.
It is also worth noting that similar reports emerged during the vacation declared from March 2 to 8, after which the ministry denied the information,” the center reported.
