Prime Minister: The Situation Created by the Coronavirus Should Be Approached with Maximum Calmness

In our opinion, this period will not only create challenges for the Armenian economy but also open up opportunities. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a live Facebook broadcast as he addressed the situation created by the coronavirus.

“There are significant shifts occurring in the global economy, which may pose problems for all countries' economies. Inevitably, there will be reconfigurations in the global market, and we believe that these reconfigurations will also open up new opportunities for the Armenian economy. It is clear, however, that there may also be challenges,” he said.

According to the Prime Minister, the situation caused by the coronavirus should be approached with maximum calmness: “We must acknowledge that the difficult days of the coronavirus, like winter, will come and go, as our classic proverb says. It is very important that we emerge from this situation strengthened rather than weakened.”

As a reminder, currently in Armenia, six individuals have been confirmed to have the coronavirus, while 88 others are in isolation.
