Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has tested positive for coronavirus. This information is reported by The Guardian. The Brazilian president announced this in a message to the citizens of the country.

On March 12, several Brazilian and Argentine media outlets indicated that Bolsonaro was undergoing tests. Earlier, individuals in the president's circle had been found to be infected with the virus, including Fabio Wajngarten, the head of the special secretariat for communications.

The Chinese authorities informed the WHO about the coronavirus outbreak on December 31. It is known that the virus spread from Wuhan city in Hubei province. Outside of China, the majority of infections have been identified in South Korea, Iran, and Italy. A total of infection cases have been confirmed in more than 110 countries.

Globally, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases has reached 131,621, with 4,940 deaths reported, and more than 68,500 people have recovered. In Armenia, 8 cases of infection have been confirmed.
