Mass Graves Being Dug in Iran for COVID-19 Victims

The British Daily Mail reports that mass burials are being prepared in Iran, where a large number of graves are being dug for victims of the novel coronavirus disease. The website has published satellite images showing rows of these graves.

According to the publication, the graves are approximately 100 meters long. These images suggest that Iran is concealing the true scale of the tragedy by not revealing the accurate number of death cases. Officially, there have been 429 deaths recorded in Iran as of today.

Satellite images reveal that the land was vacant in October. However, photographs taken in March show how the graves have occupied that space. The graves are located near the city of Qom, which was the starting point for the spread of the coronavirus in Iran. Since February, around 10,000 people have been infected in Iran, with over 3,000 having recovered.
