Armenia and Georgia Decide to Close Border for 10 Days
By mutual agreement, Armenia and Georgia have decided to temporarily suspend the movement of citizens between the two countries for a period of 10 days, starting from 08:00 AM on March 14. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan on his Facebook page.
“At the same time, both countries will ensure the unobstructed entry of citizens wishing to return to their homeland. These restrictions will apply to all types of transport. The restrictions do not apply to cargo transportation. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. I am confident that there is a shared understanding that these measures are being taken exclusively to ensure public safety,” wrote Avinyan.
