«Journalist». What Upset the Former Head of the National Security Service and What Connection Does it Have with Rustam Badasyan's Godfather

«Journalist» newspaper reports that details have emerged about the dismissal of former National Security Service head Davit Beginyan. In particular, according to our sources, eight months after taking office, Beginyan was offered to return to his former position and become deputy head, but he was offended by this circumstance and decided to submit a resignation letter and leave the system altogether.

The newspaper has also come across information regarding a potential successor for the National Security Service head position. In the Ministry of Justice, the name of Davit Gasparyan, the godfather at Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan's wedding and the minister's chief advisor, is being considered.

As is known, Davit Beginyan was appointed on December 19, 2019, and after the news of his dismissal circulated, rumors emerged in the press that he had issues with Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan, which led to his departure. However, the newspaper managed to clarify that the real reason was Beginyan's discontent with the way he was treated.

Of course, the Ministry of Justice has made it clear to Beginyan that there was dissatisfaction with him, as he did not bring about a revolution in the National Security Service sector, whereas significant changes were expected after Mihran Poghosyan’s tenure to ensure that everyone felt the spirit of revolution from the bottom up.
