WHO Declares Coronavirus a Pandemic

The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, announced that the COVID-19 coronavirus has transitioned into a pandemic. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“The WHO believes that the current outbreak is a pandemic. We expect that the number of infections and deaths from the coronavirus will increase,” he stated. As of March 11, approximately 120,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus globally, with nearly 4,300 deaths reported.
