Details of Major Accident in Armavir: Identities of All 12 Injured Confirmed

The identities of the injured individuals and drivers involved in the major accident that occurred on March 2 on the Yerevan-Armavir highway, specifically at the 15 km mark in the Armavir province, have been confirmed.

According to Shamshyan.com, during the preparation of materials, it was established that the Mitsubishi Pajero was driven by 69-year-old Gevorg E. from Yerevan, the Mercedes was driven by 27-year-old Gevorg K. from Armavir province, and the Gazelle was driven by 38-year-old Ara G. from Nalbandyan village.

As a result of the accident, the passengers of the Gazelle—59-year-old Siranush K. from Yerevan, 44-year-old Astghik Koshkaryan from Bambakashat village, 29-year-old Arevik Minasyan from Nalbandyan village, 45-year-old Artak Khachatryan from Sardarapat village, 26-year-old Armen Kostanyan from Bambakashat village; as well as driver G. Khachatryan from Mercedes—sustained injuries and were transported to the Vagarshapat Medical Center. Other passengers of the Gazelle, including 14-year-old Lilit Petrosyan, 37-year-old Anahit Khachatryan from Nalbandyan village, 35-year-old Farfur Kaltakyan from Nor Armavir village, 58-year-old Norair Martirosyan from Armavir city, and 9-year-old Gor Gabuzyan from Yerevan, were taken to the Armavir Medical Center. Additionally, a passenger from the Gazelle, 45-year-old Arthur Stepanyan from Nalbandyan village, was transported to the Astghik Medical Center.

Sources indicate that there are reports suggesting that another vehicle created a hazardous situation for the Mercedes driver, prompting them to flee the scene after the accident occurred. The police are undertaking necessary measures to identify and locate the driver of the vehicle that caused the hazardous situation.

Earlier, it was reported that a major accident occurred in the Armavir province on March 2. Around 19:19, the Mercedes with license plate 36 MT 354, Mitsubishi Pajero with license plate 08 QQ 088, and GAZelle with license plate 38 23 L collided at the 15 km mark of the Yerevan-Armavir highway. As a result of the accident, 12 individuals were transported with injuries to Vagarshapat Medical Center. Following the collision, the GAZelle, which services the Yerevan-Nalbandyan route 224, overturned.
