No Symptoms of Infectious Diseases Detected in 40 Passengers Arriving from Milan to Yerevan

Forty passengers arrived in Yerevan from Milan on today's flight. According to Liana Yeghiazaryan, head of the Public Awareness and Consultation Division of the Health and Labor Inspection Body of Armenia, no symptoms characteristic of infectious diseases — such as fever, chills, or cough — were recorded among them.

When asked whether the arriving passengers were transferred by special transport and isolated, our interlocutor replied that this matter falls outside their jurisdiction and is under the Ministry of Health of Armenia.

Ministry spokesperson Alina Nikoghosyan stated in a conversation with the media that precise answers to these questions will be provided later, as a consultation is currently ongoing.

Regarding the Health and Labor Inspection Body, they informed that enhanced control measures — including disinfection and inspections — are being carried out at the Zvartnots International Airport. “Address cards are being filled out for arrivals from Italy and other epidemiologically risky countries, which are provided to polyclinics for the subsequent monitoring of these individuals' health condition,” noted Liana Yeghiazaryan. She added that there is currently no information on how many passengers are arriving from Rome later in the evening.
