Sale of Nearly 750 kg of Meat Suspended
Control activities conducted by the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia in the meat sales points of Vayots Dzor have revealed violations of legal regulations concerning meat sales. Specifically, continuous monitoring was carried out at 11 meat sales points in the town of Yeghegnadzor, where it was found that 9 of them had 749 kg of meat products that had not undergone veterinary-sanitary examination (307 kg from large cattle and 442 kg of pork).
Orders have been issued to suspend the sale of the identified meat and its products. The mandatory condition for the sale of slaughterhouse-origin meat, which is set to be implemented from July 1, will eliminate or minimize such situations.
