Rescuers Discover Climbers on Mount Aragats

On March 8, at 5:30 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received a report that two climbers from the Republic of Poland (aged 25) were on Mount Aragats. One of them had injured his leg and was unable to descend on his own. Rescuers were urgently needed.

Teams from the emergency situations ministry's regional rescue department were dispatched to help. According to the GPS coordinates provided by the climbers, they were located near the northern peaks of Mount Aragats.

Rescuers found the climbers near the second weather station: Polish citizens Urban Konrad (born in 1991) and Orest Tarasiuk (born in 1991). One climber, who had sustained a leg injury, was assisted to an ambulance near the "Amberd" meteorological station.

The injured climber was transported to the medical center in Ashtarak, where doctors assessed his health condition as satisfactory.
