If the Ministry Continues Its Stiff Position, We Will Block Roads: Tense Situation at the Maralik Maternity Hospital

Today, a tense situation has once again arisen in the Shirak region. Residents of the villages of Sarnaghbyur, Dzitahan, Karaberd, Anipemza, and others gathered at the Maralik maternity hospital, including pregnant women, their husbands, and relatives, demanding that the Ministry of Health allow deliveries to take place at the Maralik maternity hospital.

In an interview with Shamshyan.com, agitated pregnant women expressed their concerns, stating, "How can we reach Gyumri or Artik in this condition to have our children born at the Gyumri maternity hospital? What is the purpose of sending us to the Gyumri maternity hospital when Maralik's maternity hospital provides excellent medical care?" they noted.

Staff members of the maternity hospital also indicated that there have been no cases of poor outcomes in deliveries to date, and all employees, from doctors to other healthcare workers, are fulfilling their responsibilities properly. The acting director of the Maralik maternity hospital, Anush Hovhsepian, also emphasized that the maternity hospital no longer has issues with equipment.

The assembled individuals declared that if the ministry continues its rigid stance and does not permit deliveries at the Maralik maternity hospital, they too will take concrete steps, including blocking roads.
