A Resident of Kapan Fired Twice at a Fellow Citizen with a Hunting Rifle

On March 8, 2020, at 02:00, a report was received from the medical center in Kapan regarding the transfer of a local resident's body with gunshot wounds. This was announced by the Investigative Committee.

Through immediate investigative and procedural actions, as well as operational-search measures, the identity of the person suspected of committing the crime was established (who is also a resident of Kapan). He was apprehended and arrested on suspicion of committing murder, and provided a self-incriminating testimony indicating that during a personal dispute, he fired twice at his acquaintance with a short-barreled hunting rifle, which he had possessed since the war years, near the automobile bridge in Kapan.

A criminal case has been initiated at the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia under part 1 of Article 104 (murder) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is underway.
