Shooting in Armavir: One Injured, Details Revealed

On March 5, at 02:40, a report was received by the police department of Vagharshapat from the hospital stating that a 36-year-old man had been admitted with a "gunshot wound to the abdominal area." The police reported that operational group officers dispatched to the scene had determined that on the same day, around 02:15, an unknown individual had fired random shots at the man and his vehicle in the village of Agavnatan, located in the Armavir region, resulting in bodily harm to the man.

Thanks to urgent operational-investigative measures taken by officers from the General Department of Criminal Police, the Armavir Regional Department, the Vagharshapat Division, and the Lori Regional Department, the identity of the shooter has been established. The 34-year-old resident of Agavnatan was apprehended at the Tashir border checkpoint while attempting to cross the Armenian border. A forensic medical examination has been ordered, and the materials related to the case have been sent to the Vagharshapat investigative division. The apprehended individual has been arrested, and efforts are being made to locate the firearm used in the crime. An investigation is underway.
