Number of Coronavirus Infections in Georgia Reaches 9

The number of people infected with the new type of coronavirus in Georgia has reached 9. Currently, 162 individuals are in quarantine, while an additional 45 are undergoing testing in hospitals. The disease monitoring special website reported that five new cases of infection were identified yesterday.

Previously, four cases of coronavirus infection had been registered in Georgia. The first case of the new type of coronavirus infection was confirmed on February 26, when a citizen returning from Iran became the first to contract the virus.
