Songstress Lilith Karapetyan has shared details about her romantic relationship with the legendary military leader Vazgen Sargsyan. She revealed that they had been in a relationship for the last two years of his life and were preparing to marry. Lilith also mentioned that Vazgen's mother opposed their union, as she envisioned another girl beside her son.

Vazgen Sargsyan's relatives have commented on Lilith Karapetyan's story. In particular, his brother's daughter, Nona Sargsyan, took to Facebook to express her thoughts: "Respecting everyone's rights, feelings, and love, I would like to say that you should keep your dreams to yourselves... dreaming is not a bad thing. Yerevan City Council member Ani Khachaturyan also weighed in on the story, writing: "I read the interview with singer Lilith Karapetyan about her story with Vazgen Sargsyan. With all due respect to the singer's feelings, I remembered my last encounter with Vazgen: 'Hey, how's it going?...' 'No, it's been a long 'road' for me...'
