VIDEO: Large Number of Drivers Lost Their Driving Rights in February

We continue to present the statistics of drivers who have lost their right to operate vehicles following legislative changes. In February of this year, 290 drivers were stripped of their driving rights, including:

  1. 215 for driving under the influence as specified in Article 126, Part 2 of the VI Code, meaning the driver operated the vehicle while intoxicated (where the blood alcohol concentration exceeds 1 gram per liter or where the breath alcohol concentration exceeds 0.5 milligrams per liter).
  2. 19 for the same article under Part 5, meaning the driver continued to operate the vehicle while intoxicated (where it was determined that their blood alcohol level exceeded 0.2 grams per liter or breath alcohol level exceeded 0.1 milligrams per liter) after having committed the same offense within one year from the date of administrative penalties.
  3. 11 for avoiding sobriety checks as stipulated in Article 126, Part 4, of the VI Code.
  4. 5 under Article 123.1, Part 2 of the VI Code, meaning the installation of red and/or blue light signaling devices without proper authorization, as well as using color patterns designated for emergency service vehicles (imitation).
  5. 6 under Article 124, Part 31 of the VI Code, meaning drivers intentionally failing to comply with police orders to stop a vehicle as prescribed by law.
  6. 1 for placing a yellow basic registration plate on another vehicle, as specified in Article 123.5, Part 10 of the VI Code.

At the same time, 110 drivers were found to have been operating vehicles while intoxicated without a valid right to do so. The materials prepared regarding their criminal liability have been sent to the investigative authorities for resolution.
