Discussion on Implementation of New Property Tax System Takes Place with Prime Minister
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a consultation meeting during which proposals for revising the property tax assessment system in Armenia were discussed. These proposals were presented based on the outcomes of earlier discussions held with the Prime Minister.
Specifically, the proposals concerned the tax rates for residential properties, public and industrial spaces, garages, and undeveloped land plots. The methodology for evaluating properties and areas, as well as the potential impacts of changing tax rates, were also addressed.
It was noted that the aim of the proposals is to enhance the targeting of taxation. Officials emphasized that as a result of these changes, an effective property assessment and taxation system is expected to be implemented throughout the republic.
Prime Minister Pashinyan instructed the responsible parties to develop a corresponding concept based on the proposals, taking into account the observations and opinions raised during the discussions.
