Three Italian Tourists Killed in Avalanche in Georgia
Three Italian tourists have died due to an avalanche in the Svaneti region of Georgia, on Mount Tetnuldi. This was reported by the republic's mountain resorts development company.
Rescuers managed to pull two tourists from the snow unharmed, while one suffered multiple injuries, and three others were found deceased.
"A group of six Italian tourists who were skiing got caught in the avalanche. They entered a restricted area near the summit of Tetnuldi, where warning signs of a significant avalanche risk have been posted," the company stated.
