Armed Forces Medical Service Summarizes Its Work in 2019
On March 2, 2020, in accordance with the training plan, a meeting was held at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, during which the results of the Armed Forces Medical Service's activities in 2019 were summarized.
The consultation involved officers from the Armed Forces Medical Department, heads of medical services of military formations, units, and centrally subordinated military bases, the head of the medical training center, and commanders of medical units (establishments). A comparative analysis of illness rates in the Armed Forces for 2018 and 2019 was presented, as well as an overview of the current epidemiological situation, the achievements of the medical service, and existing problematic issues. Solutions to these issues were discussed, and relevant instructions were given.
Officials in the field were also presented with the challenges facing the medical service in 2020 and potential paths for development. A joint discussion was held to implement and control anti-epidemic measures aimed at preventing the newly recorded coronavirus infections in the region, during which clear instructions were provided by the head of the Armed Forces Medical Department of the Republic of Armenia.
