83 People in Quarantine in Moscow
In Moscow, 24 individuals have been hospitalized after contact with a person infected with the coronavirus, and 83 are currently in quarantine. “Today, doctors confirmed the first case of the new coronavirus infection, Covid-19. The virus was detected in a Moscow citizen who returned from Italy. He is now in an infectious diseases hospital receiving all necessary treatments. The illness is in a mild phase,” said the Mayor of Moscow.
He noted that within one day from the moment of the virus detection (February 29), a complete list of the individual's contacts was identified, including relatives, friends, acquaintances, and passengers who flew on the same airplane. “Six relatives and five acquaintances of the patient have been hospitalized. Among the flight passengers, 13 have been hospitalized, and 83 people have been quarantined,” the mayor stated.
