Four More MPs in Iran Infected with Coronavirus
Four more members of parliament in Iran have tested positive for the coronavirus. This was reported by eadaily.com, citing a statement from Iranian parliamentary deputy Mohammad Ali Vakili.
After two members of parliament had earlier tested positive for the virus, 30 lawmakers underwent testing. The names of the infected MPs have not yet been made public.
“The coronavirus test has returned positive results for four of our 30 colleagues,” he stated.
According to the latest data from the country’s Ministry of Health, the number of infected individuals has reached 388, with 34 fatalities reported. It is also worth noting that Iran's Deputy Minister of Health Iraj Harirchi had previously been infected with the virus. Additionally, a case of infection was also reported in Iran's Vice President for Women and Family Affairs.
