Global Coronavirus Map: Which Countries Are Affected?

The week ended with an unpleasant surprise: the list of countries with confirmed cases of the new type of coronavirus has expanded. Today, this list has been joined by Belarus, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Lithuania, San Marino, Nigeria, and Azerbaijan.

As of today, there are 83,704 confirmed cases of coronavirus worldwide, with 2,859 fatalities. The majority of cases are in Northern China, totaling 78,824 cases. South Korea ranks second in terms of the number of infected individuals, with 2,337 cases. More than 700 cases have been identified on the Diamond Princess cruise ship, which has been anchored off the coast of Japan since February 5. Almost 500 crew members remain on board the ship.

The countries listed with confirmed cases include Italy (655 cases), Iran (270), and Japan (226). In the remaining countries, which number around 50, the number of infected does not reach 100.
