VIDEO: There is no possibility of hiding information, says Pashinyan about the pandemic
The public should be assured that if there is any concerning information, it will be published. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during today’s government meeting, addressing the situation created around the novel coronavirus in the region.
Pashinyan excluded the possibility that any case could be hidden from the public. The Prime Minister also mentioned that serious measures have been taken in the military (visits from soldiers' relatives to all military units of the Armed Forces of Armenia have been prohibited since February 25 due to the spread of the coronavirus in Iran, and leaves for conscripted soldiers have been suspended) and urged parents and relatives to approach the situation with understanding.
“Citizens of Armenia should be confident that there is no possibility of hiding such an incident; I know that in such cases, those spreading panic increase. It is impossible for an incident to occur and for the government to hide that information from the public,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister called on everyone to continue living a normal life, as there is currently nothing alarming beyond what is already known.
