VIDEO: Tense Situation at the Azerbaijan-Iran Border

A video is actively circulating on Azerbaijani social networks revealing a tense situation at the Astara border checkpoint between Azerbaijan and Iran. There are disputes among individuals at the checkpoint regarding the admission of certain persons into Azerbaijan. The cause of this tense situation is the large-scale spread of the new coronavirus.

It is noteworthy that just yesterday, the first case of coronavirus infection was recorded in Georgia. The infected individual had entered Georgia via Azerbaijan from Iran.

Additionally, it has been reported that seven people have been hospitalized in Azerbaijan on suspicion of coronavirus infection, five of whom are Iranian citizens, according to a joint statement from the country's Ministry of Health and the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance.

It should also be mentioned that the situation is tense in Georgian hospitals as well.
