Levon Kocharyan: My Brother and I Were Summoned by the Special Investigation Service as Witnesses in Armen Tavadyan's Case and Refused to Testify

The sons of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, Levon and Sedrak Kocharyan, were summoned for questioning by the Special Investigation Service (SIS) regarding the case of Armen Tavadyan, the owner of Channel 5, to testify as witnesses. Levon Kocharyan informed reporters that he and his brother have refused to provide testimony.

“My brother and I have not given testimony because we have repeatedly expressed our attitude towards that structure and the state, which has repeatedly violated the presumption of innocence, as well as in all other cases they handle. In short, we did not find it expedient,” he stated.

Levon Kocharyan noted that their presence at the SIS lasted only 20 minutes. “The formalities of refusing to testify were completed, and that was it,” he added.

It is noteworthy that Armen Tavadyan, the owner of the 5th Channel, is in custody on suspicion of bribing witnesses or victims to provide false testimony in a case organized by a group.
