Erdogan Heads to Azerbaijan for Strategic Cooperation Meeting

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is making an official visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the 8th meeting of the Turkey-Azerbaijan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. According to Turkey's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the council meeting, led by Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, will take place in Baku, with the attendance of government members, reports ermenihaber.

It is noted that discussions during the council meeting will cover various formats addressing Turkish-Azerbaijani relations and opportunities for deepening cooperation between the two countries. According to the ministry's information, it is expected that the leaders will exchange views on certain regional and international issues.

It should be mentioned that the first meeting of the Turkey-Azerbaijan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was held in 2011 in the city of Izmir, Turkey.
