Criminal Case Opened for Threats Against Edmon Marukyan
The police have opened a criminal case regarding threats made against Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the 'Bright Armenia' faction, under the first part of Article 137 of the Criminal Code. This was reported by Aravik Khachatryan, the head of the public relations department of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The aforementioned article pertains to threats of murder, causing serious harm to health, or destroying property of significant value, if there was a real danger of executing such threats. On February 11, during a press conference at the National Assembly, Edmon Marukyan announced threats directed against him. The Prosecutor General’s Office has sent Marukyan's letter to the main department of the criminal police.
