Earthquake on the Iran-Turkey Border Leaves Many Injured
An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 struck the Iran-Turkey border. This has been reported by the Turkish NTV TV channel.
The tremors were recorded on February 24 at 05:43 local time (06:43 Yerevan time). The epicenter of the earthquake was located 89 kilometers northeast of Izmir and 56 kilometers northeast of Manisa. The earthquake's focus was at a depth of 7 kilometers.
As a result of the earthquake, 75 people have been injured in Iran. According to RIA Novosti, the number of injured in Turkey's Van province has reached 50. Earlier, Turkish media also reported 9 fatalities and 37 injuries.
