Emergency: Criminal Case Launched Following Soldiers' Deaths from Gunshot Wounds to Head

On February 12, 2020, at around 11:30 AM, a criminal case has been initiated in the second garrison investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia regarding the incident involving conscript soldiers Private Tigran Manvelyan and Junior Sergeant Tigran Mkhoyan, both of whom suffered gunshot wounds to the head while on duty at a combat position of the N military unit and subsequently died on the way to a military hospital.

The Investigative Committee's press service reports that an investigation is underway. Necessary investigative and other procedural actions are being taken to ensure a comprehensive, complete, and objective examination of the incident.
