Gunshots in Yerevan: Shell Casings Found

Gunshots were heard in Yerevan yesterday. Around 14:30, the Shengavit division of the police received a report that multiple shots had been fired near 88 Shiraki Street. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, law enforcement agencies were dispatched to the scene.

Police and investigators established that the shots were fired at a vehicle, an Infiniti QX, operated by 51-year-old Armen Tamazyan, after which the shooter fled the scene. Shamshyan’s information indicates that thanks to operative-investigative measures, it was determined that the shots were fired by 35-year-old Suren A., a resident of Yerevan.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The police and the investigative division are taking necessary operational measures to locate the suspect Suren A. According to G. Shamshyan, three shell casings were found at the scene.
