Rescuers Extinguish Fire in the Forest Near Barekamavan Village
On February 21, at 13:51, the National Crisis Management Center received an alert about a fire in the vegetation near a mobile phone tower located in the forest of Barekamavan village in the Tavush region’s Noyemberyan community.
A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, consisting of 5 members from the Koti group and 4 from the Voskavan group, was dispatched to the scene, along with one combat unit from the regional rescue administration.
The fire was isolated at 16:15 and fully extinguished by 16:55. Approximately 2 hectares of vegetation, underbrush, and wood debris were burned in the incident.
A total of 13 rescuers and 5 employees from the "Hayantar" State Non-Commercial Organization's Noyemberyan Forest Enterprise were involved in the firefighting efforts.
