‘Zhamanak’: A Member of the ‘NO’ Headquarters Spoke at the UN

‘Zhamanak’ newspaper reports that a representative of the ‘NO’ headquarters, former head of the Ethics Commission for High-ranking Officials, Siranuhi Sahakyan, recently delivered a speech in Switzerland at a conference dedicated to UN NGOs.

Notably, she was invited to this significant event by Nairi Petrosyan, an advisor/reference to former President Serzh Sargsyan, who was recently recalled by the Foreign Minister to the diplomatic service in Switzerland. Petrosyan argued at the UN that NGOs from Armenia should no longer be recognized based on external funding but rather those that are financed domestically.

It is worth noting that Siranuhi Sahakyan co-founded the NGO ‘Legal Path’ with former Ombudsman of Artsakh Ruben Melikyan after the revolution.
