Stabbing Incident Involving Two Minors in Rio Mall Area Uncovered
On February 18, at 21:55, the Arabkir police department received a report from a hospital that two 17-year-old boys had been admitted with "stab wounds to the lumbar region and left back area" and "stab wound to the right groin." The operational group responded to the hospital upon receiving the alarm.
It was revealed that one of the boys was unable to provide information, while the other refused to cooperate. Thanks to the joint operational-investigative measures taken by the police officers of Yerevan and the Arabkir department, it was determined that on February 18 at 20:30, the hospitalized boys had gotten into an altercation with four other teenagers in a park adjacent to the shopping center on Papazyan Street, during which one of them stabbed the minors.
The assailant and one of the participants in the dispute were presented to the investigation department of the Arabkir division and gave confessionary explanations. Measures are being taken to identify the other two participants and recover the weapon used in the crime. Materials are being prepared for the case.
