New Regulations: What to Expect for Officials After March 31

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" writes: "As is known, until March 31, officials required to submit declarations on their property and income must submit them to the Anti-Corruption Committee. However, "Zhoghovurd" has learned that the government's decision defining or amending the list of data subject to publication in the new declarations has not yet been adopted.

If the list is not revised, it will be impossible to publish the declarations, as only part of the information filled out in the declarations is subject to publication (there are issues related to personal data protection). In this case, issues will arise regarding the publication of the declaration; that is, the electronic declaration can theoretically be filled out and submitted, but as long as the list of data subject to publication is not clarified, it will be impossible to publish it.

Nevertheless, we have learned that numerous changes have been made to the declaration procedure. Accordingly, the declaration of the official will include not only the data of their family members but also information about individuals closely related to the declarant by blood or marriage. For the first time, a declaration of interests will also be introduced. It will consist of conditionally six sections and aims primarily to clarify the connections of the officials required to declare with commercial organizations, political parties, and other entities, as well as their interests there.
