VIDEO: Wallet Stolen on Route 57 Bus, Thief Caught at the Scene

On February 17, at around 9:30 AM, the Central Police Department received a report indicating that moments earlier, a woman's wallet had been stolen from her bag on the Route 57 bus. The wallet contained cash and a bank card.
Immediately after receiving the report, officers from the 6th division of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Police began searching for the suspect. One hour after the incident, the pickpocket was located.
The investigators apprehended a 22-year-old resident of Kapan on suspicion of theft from France Square and brought him to the Central Police Department. He has provided a confession regarding the crime.
The stolen items have been recovered. Materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
