Artsakh Parliament's Powers to Cease on May 21
The President of the National Assembly of Artsakh, Ashot Ghulyan, held a working consultation on February 19, involving the heads of parliamentary permanent committees and factions, as well as the staff responsible for the parliament's functions.
During the meeting, he discussed the upcoming work of the parliament, addressing the commencement of the new session and the parliamentary activities over the coming months, particularly in relation to the nationwide elections scheduled for March 31.
According to the Speaker of the National Assembly, the 6th session of the National Assembly will likely hold meetings in February, April, and, if necessary, also in May. The powers of the 6th convocation of the National Assembly will cease on May 21.
Moving on to the discussion of the agenda items for the upcoming session, the Chairman of the Permanent Committee on State-Legal Issues, Hovik Jivanyan, along with Permanent Committee members on Defense, Security, and Law Enforcement Vilena Safaryan and the Chairman of the Permanent Committee on Production and Production Infrastructure, Arpat Avanesyan, presented the projects discussed in the committees and the conclusions drawn by them.
Summarizing the consultation, Ashot Ghulyan announced that the first session of the 11th convocation will take place on February 20 at 11:00 AM. There will also be a procedure for legislative-executive Q&A.
