Two Earthquakes Registered in Van, Magnitudes 4.1 and 3.7
Two consecutive earthquakes were recorded in the Tuşba district of Van province with a 2-minute interval. These seismic events were measured at magnitudes of 4.1 and 3.7 on the Richter scale, according to ermenihaber.am.
The tremors were also felt in neighboring provinces, causing panic among the local population. The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported that the underground shocks occurred on the night of February 17 at 23:16 and 23:18 local time.
The epicenters of the earthquakes were located at a depth of 7.77 kilometers. Tremors were also registered in adjacent provinces.
