Terrorist Attack Prevented in Almaty: Arrests Made
Officers from the National Security Committee in Kazakhstan's Almaty have arrested two extremists who were planning terrorist attacks in crowded places.
The suspects were apprehended on February 14, following a court order. During the investigative operations at their residence, homemade explosive devices with shrapnel, components for their preparation, cold weapons, and smartphones containing photographs and videos of potential attack targets were seized.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding the preparation of terrorism and propaganda of terrorism.
