Police Uncover Previously Committed Pickpocketing Case

On February 14, around 16:30, the police's operational management center received a report from the Erbebuni police department about a 19-year-old girl whose mobile phone was stolen from her pocket moments earlier on Tigran Mets Avenue. This was reported by the Public Relations and Information Department of the RA Police.

The officers from the Erbebuni police department took appropriate measures to identify the person who committed the theft. Search operations were joined by the officers from the 6th department of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Yerevan City Police, and as a result of their diligent work, the theft was solved days later.

Information was received in the department fighting against pickpocketing that the suspect might be a 43-year-old resident of Vanadzor. On February 17, due to the explanatory work of the law enforcement officers, the suspect reported to the Erbebuni police department and provided a confessional statement.

Measures are being taken to recover the stolen item. Materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
