Police Report on Child Trafficking Case Disclosed
According to operational summaries from the police, between February 17 and 18, various units of the Police of the Republic of Armenia uncovered a total of 75 criminal cases, of which 8 were previously committed. This information was reported by the Public Relations and Media Department of the Police of Armenia.
In particular, the reported cases included: 18 for theft of personal property, 11 for inflicting bodily harm, 7 for fraud, 4 for drug discovery, and 3 each for embezzlement or waste, domestic violence, drug smuggling, and abuse of official power. There were also 2 cases each of kidnapping, threats, and illegally crossing the state border, as well as 1 case each of murder, robbery, extortion, tax evasion, cybercrime, illegal logging, illegal possession of cold weapons, failure to comply with a decision for urgent intervention, and the sale of a child for the purpose of transferring custody.
In total, 2 wanted individuals were identified, and 2 voluntarily presented themselves. There were 9 recorded cases of voluntary surrendering of weapons and ammunition. Among previously committed crimes, 5 cases of personal property theft and 3 cases of burglary were uncovered.
Over the past day, the country recorded 6 road traffic incidents, resulting in 1 fatality and 6 individuals suffering varying degrees of bodily injuries.
