VIDEO: Illegal Charcoal Production Facility Discovered in Ijevan

Police officers from the Ijevan division, in cooperation with the Tavush regional administration and the inspectors of the Environment and Natural Resources Protection Agency, have discovered three charcoal production facilities that lack the necessary documentation for the produced charcoal.

At one of the facilities operating in Ijevan, containers for charcoal production, 285 bags of charcoal, and several cubic meters of firewood were found. In another facility, containers for charcoal production, 110 bags of charcoal, sawdust, and more were discovered. In one of the facilities in a village of Tavush region, containers for charcoal production, 1883 bags of charcoal, and firewood were located. In this case as well, the necessary documentation was missing.

The operations of these facilities have been suspended. Investigations are underway regarding the incidents.
