VIDEO: 125 LSD Tablets Discovered from a 28-Year-Old Resident in Yerevan

The police continue their persistent fight against drug use and illegal trafficking, collaborating with various state structures. As a result of such cooperation, another case of illegal drug importation into Armenia was prevented recently.

On February 14, officers from the General Department of Criminal Police's Drug Trafficking Control Division, in collaboration with the National Security Service and the police of the Mashtots Division, detained a 28-year-old local resident on Shinarar Street on suspicion of smuggling, possessing, and using drugs.

During a personal search, dried greenish material was discovered in a postal envelope she was holding. According to subsequent measures and a forensic chemical examination, it was determined that the seized substance was a type of drug known as dimethyltryptamine, which the detained woman had obtained from an online website operating in Poland.

On February 15, law enforcement officers discovered 125 LSD tablets, dried, crushed greenish material, and two droppers with a grayish substance during a search of her residence. Further actions revealed that in November-December 2019, the 28-year-old had sold drugs to unidentified individuals in Yerevan through an advertisement posted on her personal page in a mobile application.

The circumstances are being clarified. The detained woman has been arrested. The pre-investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
