Publication Regarding Suren Papikyan's Data Not Received by Special Investigation Service
The Special Investigation Service has not yet received the publication regarding Suren Papikyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia. This was stated by the Special Investigation Service in response to a query from "Haykakan Zhamanak".
The Prosecutor General’s Office also indicated that the publications concerning Papikyan have been sent to the Special Investigation Service to verify the potential existence of a criminal act related to the publication of personal data by officials, as defined by Articles 180-181 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
It should be noted that a few days ago, "Haykakan Zhamanak" reported that Suren Papikyan, who is also the chairman of the board of the "Civil Contract" party and currently the head of the Yes campaign for the constitutional referendum, concealed the fact that he was previously charged with a criminal offense and had even been convicted.
The minister confirmed the content of the material during a Facebook live broadcast and mentioned what it was about. At the end of the live stream, Papikyan addressed the Director of the National Security Service and the Chief of Police, requesting clarification on how his personal data became accessible to the media.
